Meeting Notes: August 31, 2011

There was no featured presenter at last week’s meeting.

The speaker was Ms. Patty Marlowe of Heartfelt Sedona. Patty was born in Ft. Sumner, NM, had loving parents, grew up in an 850 square foot, 2-bedroom house, was told she was beautiful and smart. The town had 2000 people at the time, and everyone knew everybody else’s business.

Patty married young, her husband was a shrimper, and took off to find shrimp. Then Patty found Steve, “the love of my life,” 44 years ago.

In 1974, she saw Art Linklater ask little children, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” They answered with the standards: policeman, fireman, nurse, etc., but the last little boy answered,: “OUTRAGEOUSLY HAPPY!” “It was a big moment in my life. It became my mantra, and sometimes I remind myself of it two or three times a day.

I’m 67 years old, have done 6 years of karate and other martial arts and went to pilot school.

Patty practiced real estate in California for years, and managed a Coldwell Banker office with 75 full-time agents. She still maintains real estate licenses in California and Arizona.

Her daughter, Shaun, has two daughters, and I have a great granson that is 11.”

At 50, her husband Steve decided to become a lawyer. “What a life!!!,”

Patty Marlowe beams at us, and we truly understand the name of her company, “Heartfelt of Sedona”.

Meeting Notes: August 24, 2011

Ms. Patty Marlowe of Heartfelt of Sedona was the showboater on Wednesday. Each week she tell us that Heartfelt of Sedona will do “anything, for anyone, any time, anywhere (in the Verde Valley) that someone either doesn’t want to do for themselves, or can’t do for themselves.”

Today, the club got a clearer idea of the range of services that “anything” includes–from office help with a complete mobile office, to non-medical in home care, to meal preparation and housecleaning, transportation, companionship, shopping, care management, bill paying and notary services, party planning, cooking and hostessing, Medicare/Medicaid Long Term Care consulting, placement assistance, house watch services, pet sitting and care, and “so much more.”

Heartfelt of Sedona is locally owned and operated by three generations of bonded, insured caregivers, along with a staff of 15 professionals with extensive licensing in nursing, EMT, real estate, various insurances, and Red Cross.

Initial assessment is always FREE. Website/e-mail:www.HeartfeltofSedona.com or HeartfeltofSedona@gmail.com

Ms. Faith Bernard of Faith Bernard Enterprises was the speaker, who mesmerized us with her stories of firewalking and parasailing–harnessing our minds to make what seems impossible possible. The excitement in the room was palpable–more than one set of sweaty palms were visible as she described the lead up to–and execution of–her firewalk. Faith@faithbarnard.com
