Sedona Referrals Club meeting of February 1, 2012

Dr. Robert Bays of Conscious Consulting was the featured presenter at Wednesday’s meeting.  His background in NLP, Ericksonian Hypnosis, and the Enneagram serves him in the purpose of “helping our planet wake up from the dream of separation, and discover Awareness Itself is always here NOW–the Essence that animates all consciousness.”  What that means to him as a psychotherapist, is to discover the archetypal “story” (“there are really only 3 of them”) that runs a person’s ego (and that we are identified with), and discover how to identify with the true Essence instead.  That frees us from the delusions that cause the suffering in ourselves and in the world.  Whether it’s problems in relationships, work-related stress, health–all of these issues cover up limiting beliefs that our ego identifies with.  Dr. Bays’ work is very specific and razor-sharp in identifying the issue and freeing the client at the deepest level. robertbays@robertbays.com 928 300-6529.

 

Ms. Sandy Barrett of Red Rock Taxes, LLC. was the featured speaker at the Wednesday meeting.  She described herself as an Air Force brat, born in Texas, lived in Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington, Alaska, West Virginia, Arizona and Japan.  She said she was a clumsy child, and her mother thought that dance lessons would “cure” the problem, but it was only gymnastics which she loved and worked for her issue, but when she moved again, there were no gymnastics.  She did play serious softball on a team in Japan, was a majorette in high school in West Virginia.  Her parents were living in Okinawa when she graduated high school, so she moved to Cincinnati, and later in Virginia was introduced to “Ken the e-file god” at Intuit as a “resource to have people see.”  sbarrett_ea@msn.comhttp://redrocktaxes.wordpress.com

Meeting Notes: July 27, 2011

Mr. Jeff Teele, Realtor with Coldwell Banker, was the showboater for Wednesday’s meeting. He gave details of foreclosures and shortsales in the Sedona area. Currently the area is experiencing 25 listings per month for each category.

Jeff clarified that a shortsale is when the homeowner does not have enough equity to sell the home and cover the mortgage. Hardship must be shown to list your home as a shortsale. He also offered a word of caution that when purchasing a shortsale domain, you may also be required to pay for any liens against the stated property.

Shortsales and foreclosures are not going away any time soon, stated Jeff. He adds that “the time to buy is now.” Contact Jeff with your real estate questions so you can get the best deal.

Sandy’s first job after college, in Indiana, was as an English teacher at an inner-city high school in Cincinnati. She shared a riveting experience about teaching during the “Black Power Struggle” of the 1960’s. The students destroyed school property, including the beautiful marble window sills, fought, defied instruction, and terrified the white principal into hiding out in his office.

The Sedona Referrals Club meets Wednesdays at 7 a.m. at the Heartline Cafe in West Sedona. Each meeting features a showboater & a speaker.
